What is Festival Sãlôngô?

Soft Scribble Heart

We are a community project to revitalise the cultural scene in the provinces of Equatorial Guinea and to promote the richness and diversity of Equatoguinean culture, helping young people through training and the development of their artistic talents.

We are currently working on the island of Annobón..

... But most importantly

Annobonnais, Fang, Bubis and Ndowés, Equatoguineans, Cameroonians and Spaniards worked together to revitalise our Equatoguinean culture.

Young people and adults of both sexes have joined forces for a common cause: the Sãlôngô Festival.

And the Annobonnaise community took advantage, enjoyed and was grateful that this Festival took place.

Iconic artists have reconnected with their homeland. After many years, Desmali and D'Ambo da Costa, Dary Bull and Toiñ Bull, sing in their village, and artists of other ethnicities and nationalities also live the experience.

We discovered new talents: the Leon Brothers and Jason, who in turn participated as volunteers, with tireless work.

The Banx Keré-Keré, the traditional dance of Annobón, was once again held every evening in the village square after years without taking place.

The Festival was a space for meeting, art, learning and fun. The results go far beyond the numbers.

They are the experience.
